Sun Fish Beach Club at Nusa Penida Island, Bali, Indonesia

 

This ongoing project is meant to put Indonesian traditional materials: bamboo and rattan in a new way; a combination between traditional craftsmanship of making method and contemporary lifestyle. The wide-open space of the whole bamboo building gives visitors a better
feeling of safety in responding to a new normal today. The lighting objects that made of rattan, represent the iconic local fish called Mola-mola (‘sunfish’ in English) and other different under water’s livingbeings of the Penida island.
